trndmsk Podcast #64 – Gabriel Belmudes
Gabriel Belmudes is a Brazilian collector of enchanting melodies and tribal beats who has been on the rise sharing exotic sets around the globe with sincerity and flavour. He creates the next podcast for trndmsk.
trndmsk: Gabriel, what can we look forward to in the next few minutes?
Gabriel Belmudes: One of my favourites sets I’ve ever done. Very very deep!
When did you record the set? What surrounded you at the time?
As I always do, I start working on my sets at least a month in advance, gathering the tracks I truly connect with. The final day was a windy and rainy Sunday night, which I love. It always evokes crazy feelings.
How did you choose the tracks for the mix?
Usually I spent days and days just thinking of my intro. After that, the rest flows naturally.
Do you have a favorite track included in the mix?
Hard to pick one. Many of them I’ve been playing out.
What three songs do you tend to use in your current sets?
As I mentioned above, I might have already played all of them.
Summer is over. What moments or festivals do you like to remember?
I had a chill summer in comparison with the past years but had some very nice gigs. I loved my show in Los Angeles at SBCTRL Intimate Sessions. One of my favourites this year. What a night! Damn.
What are your near future projects? Are you working on any other projects?
I have been producing a lot recently. Finishing my first EP at the moment.
